Help Us Deliver Your Heating Oil Or Propane Safely This Winter
Weather here in Upstate NY can be unpredictable, to say the least – especially during the winter and early spring.
Seesawing weather keeps a fuel delivery company like ours on its toes as we work to make the heating oil deliveries and propane deliveries in Orange, Sullivan, and Ulster counties that will keep your family warm and safe.
Most of the time, we do a great job of it on our own – but sometimes, we need a little help from you. How can you play your part in keeping fuel deliveries coming as quickly and safely as possible in challenging weather conditions?
5 things that help with safe fuel delivery:
- Keep your fill pipe or propane tank clear – If it snows, please try to keep a minimum 18-inch path to your heating oil fill pipe or propane fill valve clear so we can access them quickly and safely. If you have an aboveground propane tank, be sure to mark its location with a flag that is high enough to be seen over fallen snow and drifts.
- Shovel and salt your driveway – If our trucks must park in your driveway to deliver your heating oil or propane, please keep it clear of snow and ice. If conditions don’t allow us to safely navigate your driveway, we cannot deliver your fuel. If access to your tank is made from behind a fence or gate, please make sure it is open the day of your fuel delivery.
- Keep pets under control – For the safety of your pets and our delivery teams, please keep all pets under control on fuel delivery day.
- Be accessible on delivery day – Please be sure to give us a contact number (cell is preferred) in case problems occur the day of your heating oil delivery or propane delivery.
- Plan ahead – When heating oil and propane are in high demand, our routes get quite busy – which means it’s harder for us to accommodate instant delivery requests. Please call when your tank is no less than one-quarter full.
